Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) - Detection Monitoring Plot Data.

Used by the FHM program to: (1) characterize forest conditions (health) regionally and nationally; (2) characterize major forest stresses, and, (3) quantify changes in forest conditions throughout time and space. Collection Organization: USDA Forest Service and participating state forestry sites. Collection Methodology: Trained field crews using portable data recorders with real time editing capability. Collected in forest situations by forest professionals. The sample location was an acre in which 4 sub-plots of 1/24 acre. Collection Frequency: Annually since 1990.
