Holocene Northern Hemisphere annual SAT and SST fields reconstructed using paleoclimate data assimilation

This URL contains two files. The one is a compressed .rar file, which includes the code and basic data required to conduct the paleoclimate data assimilation (PDA) experiment for reconstructing Holocene Northern Hemisphere (NH) annual temperatures. The other file is a .nc file that contains the reconstructed, spatially-completed Holocene NH annual surface air temperature (SAT) and sea surface temperature (SST) fields (Abbreviation: HNHTR). These fields have a spatial resolution of 3.75° and a temporal resolution of 100 years, reconstructed using the PDA method by fusing 2,442 annual SAT records and 166 annual SST records with transient model simulations covering the entire Holocene (i.e., 12-0 ka BP). The PDA experiment involved 50 Monte Carlo realizations, each has a distinct prior ensemble and assimilates randomly selected 75% of the 2,608 SAT and SST records. As a result, the .nc file contains 50 SAT and SST fields.
