Kisoi_et_al_BatVirus_Dataset: A Comprehensive Global Database of Bat-Associated Viruses (2010-2024)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is a compilation of scientific studies conducted between 2010 and 2024, forming a scoping review that documents connections between bats and viruses around the world. It includes more than 1,000 records of virus-bat associations from six continents and over fifty countries. These records cover viruses from more than twenty families, such as Coronaviridae, Paramyxoviridae, and Filoviridae, and involve various bat species with different feeding habits and taxonomic backgrounds. The dataset contains detailed information about the viruses, the characteristics of their hosts, the methods used to detect them, and assessments of their potential to spread to humans. This resource is valuable for studies related to One Health, predicting new infectious diseases, understanding viral ecosystems, and comparing genetic information across species. All original authors are properly credited, and complete citation details for all 175 studies are included in the dataset.
