An adaptation roadmap for the Austrian road transport infrastructure
收藏资源简介:
In the adaptation roadmap, the Federal Environment Agency and the University of Graz describe 25 measures to protect road transport infrastructure from extreme weather events, put them in a meaningful chronology and prioritise them. In six programs, the experts recommend - to create the database for risk assessment and to develop planning tools for measures. - to take measures for traffic reduction and traffic management. - to take climate change into account in road maintenance and in unavoidable new construction projects. - to invest in additional measures to protect against weather-related damage to the existing network. - to redesign the road infrastructure selectively and - to dismantle very maintenance-intensive and difficult to secure roads. The adaptation roadmap was developed in the project adapt2to4, which was funded by the Climate and Energy Fund as part of the Austrian Climate Research Program.
