资源简介:
The level of knowledge regarding toothpaste dosage will go hand in hand with the information the individual has about oral hygiene. The objective of this study was to identify the level of knowledge about the dosage of toothpaste required for toothbrushing among students and parents of children between the ages of three and six years who attend the Dr. René Puig Bentz dental clinic. In the results it was observed that the level of knowledge about the dosage of toothpaste was 75% in the students, corresponding to a medium-high level of knowledge; however, in the parents it was 50%, corresponding to a medium-low level of knowledge. The amount of toothpaste dosed showed a high level of ignorance because out of 82 only 48 responded correctly, the results of the frequency of brushing showed that the majority understood or executed brushing twice a day followed by once a day, the analysis of who dispensed the paste showed that 63% understood that it was the parents' responsibility, 32% left the responsibility to the child, the results regarding the sharing of information showed a concordance of 63% between answers. This confirms that there are significant differences in the level of knowledge between parents and students. The CAP survey determined that parents have little knowledge about oral health, and that dental students did not impart the information corresponding to prevention and oral health.
