Rubus caesius morphometric and phenetic traits, Western NY, 2020-2022

This data package contains field and experimental datasets used to assess the invasion dynamics of Rubus caesius (European dewberry) in riparian habitats across western New York. The datasets include: (1) environmental variables such as canopy cover and soil moisture; (2) reproductive trait data including flower and fruit production; (3) vegetative trait measurements such as leaf area, petiole length, and specific leaf area; and (4) results from a greenhouse experiment evaluating asexual reproduction via stem fragments. Together, these datasets support analyses of trait variation among populations and inform population-specific management strategies.
