draft genome of the extremely halophilic bacterium Salicola sp. SBJ9.. genome assembly of Salicola sp. SBJ9

This study presents the first genome assembly of an extremely halophilic bacterium, Salicola sp. strain SBJ9, newly isolated from sebkha Boudjemal in Sfax, Tunisia. Genome sequencing was monitored using the MiSeq sequencing system from Illumina (USA) and results were analyzed by Illumina Base Spase tools. Obtained contigs were assembled into scaffolds which are annotated using Rast server. at our knowledge, this is the firt genome assembly and annotation of the genus Salicola.
