Ethnobotanical review and field study

The data show the exploration of traditional uses of Litsea spp. in Thailand and use categories of Litsea species from the field study. The dataset of exploration of traditional uses of Litsea spp. in Thailand includes the raw data on the usefulness of the genus Litsea found in Thailand among different ethnic groups that reveal 373 use-reports of 26 ethnobotanical data conducted between 1996 and 2018 in 35 villages from 4 provinces in northern Thailand. Each data entry mainly includes species, local name, ethnic groups, use, part of plants used, preparation administration, usage, ICPC 3, year, and reference. The dataset of use categories of Litsea species from the field study that reveals 373 use reports belonging to 13 Litsea species was found in our field study.
