Mouse fecal and oral swab 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing under high-fat diet

16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing was performed on oral swab and fecal samples from C57BL/6J mice maintained on a high-fat diet (HFD) or a normal chow diet. This dataset was generated to profile obesity-associated microbiome signatures across age groups and to nominate microbial genera as candidate biomarkers for longitudinal follow-up and future intervention studies. The V3-V4 region was amplified and sequenced on an Illumina platform.
