Effect of polyethylene microplastics on the overwintering and nesting behaviour of the common field ant, Lasius neoniger dataset

Dataset related to the effects of microplastic exposure on Lasius neoniger overwintering and nesting behaviour of the common field ant, Lasius neoniger (Emery) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). This research investigates the impact of polyethylene microplastics on Lasius neoniger behaviour and mortality during overwintering and nesting. These trials were conducted under laboratory conditions on whole colonies of Lasius neoniger.
