Dataset for The Double-Edged Sword of Information Quantity in AR Sports Broadcasting

The study involved Korean basketball broadcasting viewers and compared viewer responses between low-information and high-information AR sports broadcasting conditions. The data collected included participants’ perceptions evaluated through a structured questionnaire, measuring aspects such as novelty, vividness, informativeness, distraction, incompatibility, complexity, viewing satisfaction, continuance viewing intention, AR familiarity, manipulation check of information quantity, and demographic characteristics. The dataset can be used to examine how different levels of AR information quantity activate both adoption-related and resistance-related responses, and how these responses influence viewers’ satisfaction and continuance viewing intentions.
