资源简介:
The metagenomic analysis was executed on fecal specimens from mice exposed to oxidative stress via administration of L-buthionine sulfoxide (BSO). This stress was induced in murine models during treatment with Bacillus subtilis strain 168, with an emphasis on preserving nitric oxide (NO) homeostasis through the specific strains B. subtilis 168 (168), 168 nosA (A), and 168 yojO (Y). A control group (N) was established, not receiving BSO treatment, alongside a positive control group treated with ascorbic acid (V) and a negative group treated with BSO+PBS (B). Each group consisted of 5 biosamples, with fecal samples collected and analyzed by group. Genomic analysis of the fecal microbiota for each group was performed, with the study including 4 replicates of each analysis. The objective of this research was to investigate the impact of Bacillus subtilis on the microbial diversity within these models, especially in terms of sustaining equilibrium at NO levels. Nitric oxide is pivotal in a myriad of physiological pathways, including immune system response, neural communication, and vascular tone regulation. Maintaining NO balance is crucial for the optimal operation of these processes.
