To identify genes induced upon exposure to oxidative stress, the V. vulnificus cells grown to OD600 of 0.5 in LBS were exposed to 250 microM hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for 30 min. A transcriptome analysis was performed using the V. vulnificus Whole Genome Twin-Chip, and then transcription profiles from the V. vulnificus cells exposed either to H2O2 or LBS alone were compared.
