The efficient utilization of triplet excited states is crucial for the development of modern optoelectronics and photocatalysis. However, this field currently faces numerous challenges, such as insufficient color purity of deep blue phosphorescent emitters, poor device stability, and the high cost and scarcity of precious metals. To address these issues, this thesis aims to seek new solutions through rational ligand design (especially the construction of rigid hemi-caged structures) and the exploration of earth-abundant metal alternatives.
