MUSIC® Academic Motivation Validation: Chinese Legal English/Translation Context

The quantitative data was collected via surveys administered to 300 undergraduate students enrolled in LE/LT programs in China, using an adapted MUSIC Inventory. The inventory had underwent cultural and contextual adjustments, pre-testing, and pilot testing. Psychometric analyses included: a) internal consistency reliability (Cronbach’s alpha); b) sampling adequacy (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test and Bartlett’s test of sphericity); c) construct validity (Confirmatory Factor Analysis); and d) comparative analysis (t-test and non-parametric test).
