To determine the effects of the biotic factors on the diversity of B. tabaci-associated bacteria, we analyzed the composition of the bacterial community of B. tabaci sibling species B and Q on different host treatments (cultured on cotton, tomato, and TYLCV-infected tomato) with a metagenomic approach that used miseq-based sequencing of a variable region of the bacterial 16S rDNA gene.
