Installation report 2007

The plant report describes industry and the energy industry in Austria, their activities and their impact on the environment. In addition to figures on company sizes and employees, it includes a compilation of resource consumption (raw materials, water, energy) and pollutant emissions in water and air as well as waste. With regard to framework conditions for industrial plants in Austria, legal regulations in Austria and the EU, in particular the environmental impact assessment, and European and national action plans are presented. Finally, key areas of action are defined in order to further reduce the environmental impact of industrial activities. Plants in Austria, state-of-the-art technology and legal regulations are described in detail for selected industries.
