The dataset is associated with the manuscript by Kanawade, V.P., [co-authors], and T. Jokinen, titled “Atypical nanoparticle shrinkage phenomenon”. It has been compiled to support the analysis and interpretation of the nanoparticle shrinkage events described in the study. The dataset comprises 10-minute median, time-synchronised particle number size distributions (PNSD) obtained from multiple complementary instruments: Particle Size Magnifier (PSM) – providing measurements of sub-3 nm particles Neutral cluster and Air Ion Spectrometer (NAIS) – negative polarity ions and total particle size distributions Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) All size distribution data have been temporally aligned to ensure direct comparability across instruments. In addition to the PNSD data, the dataset includes a comprehensive suite of one-dimensional (1D) variables, such as: Trace gas concentrations Meteorological parameters (e.g., temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, radiation) Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) Concentrations of condensing vapours (neutrals and ions) The dataset is provided in Excel format. Each file contains a README/Description sheet that describes variable names, unit, etc.
