Radical Translations: Timeline Data (Events)

This dataset contains information about events that are relevant for both a history of political radicalism and of translation. They include dates of publication and re-issue, as well as key political events, battles, international treaties and the passing of censorship laws that had an impact on the production and circulation of radical translations. Dates are recorded both in the Gregorian Calendar and (where relevant) according to Republican dates.This is an output of the AHRC-funded project Radical Translations: The Transfer of Revolutionary Culture Between Britain, France and Italy (1789-1815) (project reference AH/S007008/1) directed by Prof Sanja Perovic (PI), Dr Rosa Mucignat (co-I) and Prof Erica Mannucci (international co-I) and hosted by the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, King's College London.
