Urban Experts: Oral Histories on Research and Transformation of Public Space (Czech Republic, 1970s–2020s)

This dataset contains a curated collection of oral history interviews conducted within the interdisciplinary research project Urbanity: Inequality, Adaptation and Urban Public Space in the Historical Perspective (OP JAK, 2024–2028). It documents the perspectives of researchers, architects, curators, and theorists who have professionally engaged with the study and transformation of public space in socialist and post-socialist Central Europe. The dataset captures professional experiences, institutional contexts, and the evolving relationship between expert knowledge and urban change. The dataset includes only metadata (data sheet) and documentation (readme). The primary data — including audio recordings, interview protocols, consent forms, and transcripts — are securely stored in the ICH CAS and can be accessed upon request and in accordance with informed consent provisions.
