Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a priority pathogen that infects humans and animals, been widely associated with hospital-acquired infections in immunocompromised patients. Additionally, is the most frequent opportunistic pathogen causing chronic infections in individuals with cystic fibrosis. In this regard, we describe the first draft genome of the multidrug-resistant high-risk clone ST235 of Pseudomonas aeruginosa harboring ESBL GES-19 in a pediatric patient with CF in Mexico.
