Collection information and ITS rDNA sequences for lichens from Mugikusa Pass and the adjacent areas in Kita-Yatsugatake Mts, Central Japan

Collection data of lichens from Mugikusa Pass and the adjacent areas in Kita-Yatsugatake Mountains of central Japan is presented in this table. A total of 390 specimens comprising 146 taxa (145 species, 1 subspecies, and 1 variety) in 64 genera were identified. The 141 ITS rDNA sequences were obtained from 84 species. Eight taxa were previously unrepresented in GenBank: Alectoria lata, Cladonia crispata var. cetrariiformis, Lepra variolina, Menegazzia caviisidia, Pilophorus curtulus, Sphaerophorus meiophorus, Stereocaulon octomerum, and Viridothelium cinereoglaucescens; two additional species, Asahinea scholanderi and Cladonia pseudoëvansii, were previously present in GenBank but without ITS rDNA sequences (accessed to the GenBank website on 13 Nov. 2022).
