Genosoils and Phenosoils in Europe This repository contains the delineation of genosoils and phenosoils derived from the Global Pedogenon Map. Genosoils were identified using the least-disturbed 5% of pixels per pedogenon, based on Human Modification Index (HMI) values—a criterion shown to produce relatively stable reference soils and to demonstrate the potential of the pedogenon mapping approach in regions with high human pressure. The dataset covers the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Republic of Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
