Dynamic of phytoplankton-bacteria interactions after oil and/or dispersant exposure

The dataset was obtained from xenic (with bacteria) and axenic (without bacteria) cultures of 3 different phytoplankton species: Skeletonema sp. (diatom), Peridinium sociale (armored dinoflagellate), Amphidinium carterae (non-armored dinoflagellate). Each culture was exposed to dispersant Corexit 95000 (0.5ppm), light Louisiana sweet crude oil (10ppm), and dispersed crude oil, in addition to a control (no enrichment), each treatment was done in triplicate. Both phytoplankton and bacteria (phytoplankton-attached and free-living) physiology (abundance, photosynthesis, bacterial ectoenzyme activity for aminopeptidase, glucosidase and lipase) were measured until the end of the phytoplankton exponential phase (~7days). Bacteria community structures (attached and free-living) was sampled at the begin of the experiment for the controls (T0) and at the end of the exponential phase for each treatment.
