Mothra Short Period Seismometer Deployed 2016-06-19

The Geosense Short Period Seismometer 115 was deployed on 2016-06-19 at Mothra. Mothra is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Short Period Seismometer. The Short Period Seismometers are compact, low-power, low-noise, ground velocity sensors with a typical bandwidth of 1 to 200 Hz, and are designed to monitor local seismicity. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
