Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1963, Omnibus no. 01

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1963 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1963. A total of 12 surveys were carried out in 1963, but omnibus no. 02 could not be located among the data materials received from the Roper Center. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 01. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1963 omnibuses are: degree of ur- banization; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in house- hold and composition of household; occupational status of head of household and of supporter; income of head of household and total income of family; education of respondent; occupational status of housewife; social group; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #The best course of action in case of a breakdown in the collec- tive bargaining: government intervention by means of enforced arbitration or a bill of compromise, or labour conflicts in the form of strikes and lockouts; whether the respondent thinks there will be a general election in 1963, and whether the Govern- ment will be forced to step down or will do so voluntarily; and what the respondent thinks will be the cause(s) for the issuing of writs for a general election
