This dataset provides muscle-synergy data for both the healthy and affected limbs during the stable gait cycle of anterior-cruciate-ligament-reconstructed patients, together with derivative variables computed from the synergy analyses.
In the four files “Affected Side Synergy Module 1”, “Affected Side Synergy Module 2”, “Healthy Side Synergy Module 1” and “Healthy Side Synergy Module 2”:
– Page 1 contains the muscle weight matrix W for the corresponding synergy, showing the relative contribution of vastus lateralis, rectus femoris, vastus medialis, biceps femoris, semitendinosus, tibialis anterior, medial gastrocnemius and lateral gastrocnemius;
– Page 2 gives the associated muscle activation matrix H;
– Page 3 reports, for each synergy, time-to-peak activation, Activation Level of Synergy (ALS) and Proportion of Significant Activation Duration (PSAD).
In the two files “Overall synergy parameters of the affected limb” and “Overall synergy parameters of the healthy limb”:
– Page 1 lists the overall synergy parameters for the limb;
– Page 2 shows the change in VAF values as the number of synergies is varied.
