Draft genome of Aetherobacter fasciculatus using oxford nanopore sequencing Detailed study abstract: in this study, we sequenced the draft genome of the Myxobacteria Aetherobacter fasciculatus for bioprospecting novel biosynthetic gene clusters and subsequently capture these BGCs into yeast vectors with the goal of confirming that Oxford nanopore is sufficient to detect and capture BGCs in vectors for further analysis such as heterologous expression. For this complementary sequencing methods were used such as Sanger sequencing to compare the original Oxford Nanopore sequencing versus Sanger sequencing.
