Salinity-conveyed thermotolerance in the coral model Aiptasia is accompanied by distinct changes of the bacterial microbiome

Here we characterized bacterial community composition under heat stress at different salinities using the coral model Aiptasia. Our aim was to assess whether microbiome changes could be linked to an increase in thermotolerance at high salinities and what bacterial taxa are subject to change.
