Data Use: This layer shows locations from the USDA National Farmers Market Directory as of 2/10/22. The Farmers Market Directory lists markets that feature two or more farm vendors selling agricultural products directly to customers at a common, recurrent physical location. Maintained by the Agricultural Marketing Service, the Directory is designed to provide customers with convenient access to information about farmers market listings to include: market locations, directions, operating times, product offerings, accepted forms of payment, and more. The geocoded City of Dallas subset locations of these USDA-registered farmers markets are used in the webmap, COD Social Health UA and the 2023 Comprehensive Urban Agriculture Plan (CUAP). In the CUAP, Farmers Markets are considered an urban agriculture community asset and are an important factor in determining Urban Agriculture Priority Areas (UAPAs).
