Whole-genome sequencing of invasive Tubastraea morphotypes

Invasive sun corals of the genus Tubastraea have reshaped Atlantic benthic communities, yet taxonomy and species boundaries among the invasive morphotypes remain unresolved due to morphological plasticity and mixed molecular evidence. To provide foundational resources for comparative and population-genomic work and to support rigorous species delimitation, we generated whole-genome sequencing datasets for three invasive Tubastraea morphotypes. The datasets included PacBio CLR, Illumina short-reads and Hi-C data for all three morphotypes, which supported the assembly of high-quality, chromosome-level assemblies for all of them.
