Caricature

Reddish-brown clay with remains of the white coating and red painting on the right eye, cheeks and chin. The head is broken several times and glued. There is a 7mm diameter mounting hole on the underside of the head. The head is covered with a pointed cap. The facial features with the bulging eyebrows, the wide open eyes, large ears, the bulging nasolabial folds and the wrinkled cheeks correspond to the grotesquely distorted representations that are documented for slaves and servants.
