资源简介:
The study was split up into two parts. For part 1 of this study, all new patients seen at the filler complication clinic of the dermatology department at the Erasmus Medical Centre in The Netherlands in 2022 were reviewed. Each patient was categorized according to the type of filler and type of complication in order to get insight into the frequency of filler evoked complications as well as the distribution of fillers causing complications. This data was compared toa similar study with data from 2011-2016 to portray any shift in types of fillers responsible for complications in recent years. In part 2 of this study, various methods to study H-ase activity when in contact with HA-fillers were assessed. The aim of this part of the study was to find a method helpful in quantifying H-ase activity. The first method described used 0,2ml colored H-ase on top of 0,2ml HA-filler. The visual read-out of the colored H-ase seeping through the HA-filler was the primary outcome. The second method consisted of putting tubes with 0,5ml H-ase and 0,2ml HA-filler in a centrifuge. Afterwards, all liquids were removed from the tube with a syringe. The amount of liquid after the test was compared to the originally added 0,5ml of H-ase. The primary outcome of this experiment was the increase in liquid, indicating that the H-ase had braken down the HA-filler gel toa liquid.
