The project reported the first high-quality, chromosome-scale genome of Pinellia ternata and ephedrine biosynthesis pathway was constructed based on genomic and transcriptomic data. Moreover, How acrid raphides form in P. ternata tuber was explained via genomic data. The genome resources would be helpful for breeding of better P. ternata germplasms.
