Microbes putatively associated with biodegradation of plastics isolated from New Zealand

This project reports the whole-genome sequences of bacterial and fungal strains isolated from various environmental sources in New Zealand. This project investigates biodegradation developments of different synthesized plastic materials such as low density polyethylene (LPDE), poly vinylidene dichloride (PVdC, the primary compound involved in vacuum packaging of foods), high intensity polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polyurethane.
