Effect of mutations in DGR14 and FRA10 genes on the splice site choice.

The goal of this project is to assess the role of two spliceosome complex C* proteins, DGR14 and FRA10, in making the splice site choice. We found that the null mutations in these genes can act as a suppressor of splice site mutations in C. reinhardtii and partially rescues the functional transcript. (Lin et al., 2017). Thus, we investigate the impact of these null mutations by analyzing changes in splicing using RNA-seq data.
