FIPS Moments for "A machine learning approach to classifying MESSENGER FIPS proton spectra"

Kappa distribution fits to FIPS proton spectra for the paper titled "A machine learning approach to classifying MESSENGER FIPS proton spectra" in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics.<br>This data repository contains the following items: - A dataset with all of the newly fitted kappa distribution parameters and the artificial neural network (ANN) outputs for each of the FIPS proton spectra ("FIPSProtonClass.dat"). - The learned weight and bias matrices for each ANN in both binary ("Matrix-ANN*.bin") and ASCII ("Matrix-ANN-*.dat") formats.- Python 3 code to read the matrix files ("ReadMatrices.py").- A PDF file ("Info.pdf") which contains a description of everything stored in this repository, including the scaling factors for the parameters which form the input feature matrices for each ANN.<br>Please read "Info.pdf" and the aforementioned paper for more information.<br>
