资源简介:
Increasing exposure to Arsenic pollution is one of the biggest concerns regarding public health, water quality and ecosystem conservation. Arsenic pollution, in particular, has recently attracted attention, due to the contamination of drinking water. In recent years, Chitosan-based adsorbents have been used in the treatment of contaminated water. However, there are some disadvantages that resist the practical applications of chitosan, such as low solubility in acidic media, mechanical strength, selectivity and adsorption capacity. Thus functional modifications on chitosan are carried out to improve its properties. This review provides information on As contamination in complex environmental settings. It mainly describes the applications of the radiation-induced grafted biopolymer in the removal of arsenic from contaminated water. It also highlights the adsorbent’s regeneration, disposal methods and its cost evaluation.
