资源简介:
History of Sandu Following Nfally Sona released from custody, he was sacked from his chieftaincy position and exiled from Kunting. His brother Jimamang later appealed for his return home, and his request was granted by the British. Hafoday Jawla was appointed as the chief but his position was brief. He had some dispute with a Marabout called Sillah Kebba, who cursed him for disrespecting him. After that incident, Hafoday was accused of stealing a bull a short time later, and he too was sacked from his chieftaincy. Suntu Komma was appointed as the new chief of Kunting, after Musa Molloh recommended him to the British. When Jimamang heard about his appointment, he thought that Suntu Komma had betrayed his brother Hafoday and he sought to attack him. He mobilized men to undertake the attack, but Suntu Komma was advised to leave Jarumekoto for his safety. It was foretold that the chieftaincy would come to Mannaa which is Jarumehkoto. References to entities made in the recording Culture: Mandinka Language: Mandinka and translated in Wollof Persons: Jimamang Jawla, Hafoday, Nfally Sona, Suntu Komma, and Musa Molloh Relationships: Jimamang Jawla was a brother to both Nfally Sona and Hafoday Jawla Nfally Sona and Hafoday both became chiefs at Kunting Suntu Komma became the new chief after Hafoday was sacked Musa Molloh was the chief of Fulladou Places: Kunting, Jarumekoto and Mannaa Movements: Nfally Sona was banished from his community but he was later allowed to return home. Actions: Both Nfally Sona and Hafoday Jawla were sacked from the chieftaincy Suntu Komma fled from Jimamang Jawla to Jarumekoto for his safety Time references: During the British colonial era Additional information: Jali Bamba Susso was the narrator and Jali Amadou Jobateh was on the Kora Alternative names: Susso, Suso, Jobarteh, Jobateh, Jobate , Amadou, Diaye, Ndiaye, N'Diaye, Njie, Njai, Mansour
