基于沉积物中蕴含的孢粉组合开展过去植被及气候研究已有百余年历史,孢粉学家积累的地层孢粉数据是开展大陆乃至全球尺度植被和气候时空格局重建的重要基础,而年代框架和孢粉名称标准化的地层孢粉数据集是开展重建研究的前提。作者通过孢粉数据收集、孢粉类型统一化、年代模型标准化以及时间窗口插值,获得了中国全新世孢粉数据集。本数据集共包含254个地层样点,217个花粉类型。本数据集中的样点在森林草原过渡带密度较高,而我国东南部和西北部分布较少,但仍能均匀涵盖我国不同植被和气候类型。时间上涵盖11.5~0 cal. ka BP期间的每100年时间窗口,但可用的样点在全新世中期(约8~2 cal. ka BP)富集,在早和晚全新世较少。本数据集是来源于论文:Cao, X., Tian, F., Herzschuh, U., Ni, J., Xu, Q., Li, W., Zhang, Y., Luo, M., Chen, F., 2022. Research on past vegetation and climate based on pollen-spore assemblages preserved in sediments has a history of more than a century. Stratal pollen-spore data accumulated by palynologists serve as a critical foundation for reconstructing spatiotemporal patterns of vegetation and climate at continental and even global scales. Standardized stratal pollen-spore datasets with consistent chronological frameworks and uniform pollen-spore nomenclature are prerequisites for such reconstruction studies. The authors compiled the Holocene pollen-spore dataset of China via pollen-spore data collection, taxonomic unification of pollen-spore types, standardization of chronological models, and time-window interpolation. This dataset contains a total of 254 stratigraphic sampling sites and 217 pollen taxa. Sampling sites in this dataset are densely distributed in the forest-steppe ecotone, while being sparsely located in southeastern and northwestern China; nevertheless, the dataset still uniformly covers diverse vegetation and climate types across China. Temporally, it covers every 100-year time window during the period of 11.5–0 cal. ka BP. However, available sampling sites are concentrated in the mid-Holocene (approximately 8–2 cal. ka BP), and are relatively scarce in the early and late Holocene.
