Over temperature sensor for cryo-stored biological samples

In this work an Over-temperature sensor is developed and its function has been demonstrated, assuring quality of cryogenically stored biological samples during transportation. This will ensure sample viability with next-generation monitoring devices that control internal temperature from freezing to deployment. The working prototype of an Over temperature sensor device developed in this thesis, enables to identify changes in temperature in an irreversible manner, by combining microfluidics and microelectronics, with unique functions like that of self- arming, and being passive in nature (battery-less) making it a promising launch pad for future devices.
