Bees of the family Melittidae of the Altai Krai and Altai Republic

This dataset was created based on the results of a study of the collection funds of the Hymenoptera from the Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk), Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg), Federal Scientific Center of the East Asia Terrestrial Biodiversity (Vladivostok), as well as own collections of bees. Abbreviations of the organizations in which the material is stored at the time of publication of the dataset: JD MSNR&NPS (Joint Directorate of the Mordovia State Nature Reserve and National Park "Smolny"), ZIN RAS (Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences), ISEA SB RAS (Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences). A total of 557 specimens of bees of the Melittidae family were identified (472 specimens from the Altai Krai and 85 specimens from the Altai Republic). The collections date back to 1898-2023 (Altai Krai 1922-2023, Altai Republic 1898-2022). All specimens were identified by Dimakova D.V. in the period 2020-2023. 11 species of Melittidae are identified for the Altai Krai, and 7 species for the Altai Republic.
