Images from Analytical Historic Building Recording at Roughbirchworth Lodge, Roughbirchworth Lane, Oxspring, Barnsley, April 2022

This collection comprises images from a Level 3 Analytical Historic Building Recording at Roughbirchworth Lodge, Roughbirchworth Lane, Oxspring, Barnsley. The work, prior to demolition of the farmstead and re-development of the site, was carried out by Ed Dennison Archaeological Services Ltd in April 2022. The structures comprised a group of stone buildings, forming a U-shaped plan arranged around a central yard. It is considered that the site was first established as a new farm between 1750 and 1800, prior undergoing a number of significant changes in the second half of the 19th century.
