HARMONIZATION OF THE LEGISLATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN IN THE FIELD OF DIGITAL TRADE IN THE CONTEXT OF ACCESSION TO THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION

This paper examines the legal aspects of the harmonization of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of digital trade in the context of its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). It analyzes the obligations arising from the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), as well as the principles of most-favored-nation treatment and national treatment. The paper substantiates the need to develop a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital trade that ensures a balanced approach between international obligations and national interests.
