Effects of artemisinic acid on gut health

Artemisinic acid (AA) has antibacterial, antipyretic, and anti-tumor activities, also has obvious synergistic effect on the antimalarial effect for artemisinin, however, underscoring whether AA can play a role in the treatment of colitis by regulating intestinal flora. To investigate the effects of artemisinic acid (AA) on the clinical signs, intestinal morphology, inflammatory factor levels and intestinal flora structure of ulcerative colitis mice induced by dextran sodium sulfate (DSS).
