Transcriptomic data of jejunal tissues of Min pigs from control group, acute death and resistance group after PEDV infection

We randomly selected 12 Min piglets from the Changping pig breeding farm of the Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and individually raised them in a cardboard box with a constant temperature of 35 degrees celsius. These piglets did not take colostrum and were fed with BaoBaoLe milk. At three-days age, eight piglets were infected with 1 mL PEDV (10 TCID50/ml), which was a G2 mutant virus isolated from the jejunum of pigs in Beijing Liuma Pig Raising Technology Co., LTD in 2014. The remaining four piglets, as the control group, were handled by 1 mL of 0.9% normal saline. Within four days after infection, four Min pigs died, and they were considered the acute death group. Correspondingly, four alive individuals were classified to the resistance group. The pigs in resistance and control groups were injected with xylazine hydrochloride injection for anesthesia at seven days old, and then were dissected. Tissues of the jejunum of the piglets in three groups were collected and washed with 0.9% saline, then stored in liquid nitrogen for measurement of transcriptome.
