SPEI Drought Indices (3-, 6-, and 12-Month Scales) for Six Stations in the Aegean Region of Türkiye (1973–2020)

This dataset contains the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) values at 3-month (SPEI-3), 6-month (SPEI-6), and 12-month (SPEI-12) time scales for six meteorological stations located in the Aegean Region of Türkiye, covering the period from 1973 to 2020. The dataset was compiled to support spatial drought modeling and prediction. Each sheet (SPEI-3.xlsx, SPEI-6.xlsx, and SPEI-12.xlsx) includes monthly time series of SPEI values, with one column per station and rows representing time steps. The dataset enables analysis of temporal and spatial drought variability, comparison of drought indices across time scales, and evaluation of model performance in data-scarce environments. The data were computed using precipitation and potential evapotranspiration records obtained from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS).
