Effects of land use on the gut microbiota of Darwin's finches

We investigated the effects of land use type (undeveloped, agricultural, urban) on gut microbiota and immune responses of small ground finches (Geospiza fuliginosa) and medium ground finches (Geospiza fortis) on Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos. Fecal samples were collected from adult finches to characterize the gut microbiota.
