Genomic sequences of C. elegans gcna-1 and dvc-1 mutants

In order to characterize mutations that occur in the absence of gcna-1 and dvc-1 in C. elegans, we carried out a genetic assay for measuring spontaneous mutations that utilizes the semi-dominant gain-of-function unc-58(e665) allele, which produces small, paralyzed worms. The paralyzed phenotype can be suppressed by intragenic or extragenic mutations that are identified as animals with wild-type motility. We sequenced the genomes of three gcna-1(ne4356);unc-58(e665) revertants and three dvc-1(ok260);unc-58(e665) revertants.
