This dataset was generated by the research teams from Villanova University and the University of Warsaw using the PHOEBE model. It contains over one million synthetic light curves, which are used to train artificial neural networks (ANNs) to accelerate forward model calculations for binary star systems. The creation of this dataset involved simulating a large number of parameter combinations to ensure the completeness and representativeness of the training set. Primarily applied in the field of astrophysics, this dataset aims to accelerate the analysis of binary star systems via AI technologies, addressing the problem of excessively long computation time associated with traditional calculation methods.
